As well as collecting the keys for your new Room, you’ll have a chance to buy the exclusive Freshers’ band which will get you into all of the events during Freshers’ you can also meet the Students’ Union as well as lots of current students who will help you carry all those bags to your new room.

We have our very own Willy Wonka ready to treat you to a night of indulgence, sweets, chocolate and some giveaways. So come see our chocolate fountains, lollipop trees and candy floss clouds for a night of sweet (see what we did there) entertainment.

Fun-day Sunday - BG Campus

Tour of the Castle - Meet at the Students’ Union

Take a chance to relax and Discover a world of rich history on a visit to Lincoln Castle, nestling in the heart of historic Lincoln. The castle provides a fascinating insight into the history of Lincoln and its castle. Experience the magnificent views of the cathedral, the City of Lincoln and the surrounding countryside from wall walks during your visit.

Cathedral Tour - Meet at the Students’ Union

There is so much to see and experience. Lincoln Cathedral was for almost 300 years the tallest building in the world. Yet, in spite of its size, it is filled with intricate detail. There is something for everyone from magnificent sculpting, stain glass windows and of course a gift shop. So come visit a place of pilgrimage, holiness, prayer but also a place of immense beauty to explore.

Tuesday 2nd October

Lincoln Monopoly - Students’ Union

A twist on the much loved board game as you pick up a BGSU personalised game board it’s your job to travel round BG, Uphill Lincoln and town to collect proof you can find your way around! The quickest team/person with a full board is the winner, with a prize for second and third as well! So why not roll the dice and give it ago?

Film Showing – The Venue

Come along to the venue, BG’s new cinema space to kick back and enjoy a film with friends. (more information will be available closer to the time)

RAG 5-legged Pub Crawl - Students’ Union

> 19:30 – Late £3 / Free with a Freshers’ Band

Pick a theme for your team, make a song and a chant. Then the 4 members, with their legs tied together, must make their way through the pubs and bars in Lincoln attempting challenges along the way! Prizes are awarded for the best dressed team, highest points achieved and, most importantly, the team that has raised the most money for charity along the way!

Wednesday 3rd October
